Hello!
This weekend has been awesome. I went to Stockholm with the guys from my school and we came there on Friday morning. We went to the Arena to check out the jump and all the other stuff. It looked really good and all the riders was going to try it out later but it was to soft so we couldn’t ride but there were like 3 riders that tried it and they had some struggle with the speed but it was going to be a little bit harder the next day so we were stoked.
We stayed at Scandic hotell in Täby just outside Stockholm so it was maybe 20 minutes from the Arena. At the night we went to Transition Winter Awards and everybody was there so it was fun. I was nominated in 2 categories “Rookie of the year” and “Parkshredder of the year” so I was a little bit nervous. But it turned out really good and I won “Parkshredder of the year”! Don’t know what to say but I’m so stoked on that and I couldn’t have done it without Kläppen Snowpark becuase that’s the place to be and they helped me to evolve my snowboarding to this level. Always a perfect shaped park, so perfect with the lift in the park and you can do 100 runs a day if you want.
On saturday we went up early and ate a good breakfast at Scandic and after that we went to the arena to have some practice before the qualification. The practice went good but the qualification didn’t go so well. I didn’t land any jump becuase it was to soft in the landning and I fell down so that sucked but it was fun anyway and congrats to Niklas Mattsson and Jakob Edman that made it through to the finals. Niklas Mattsson did a perfect bs doublecork 10! So stoked to see him shredding. That kid is going to kill the slopes this winter for sure.
Stefan Gimpl won, Marco Grilc 2nd place and Gjermund Braathen 3rd! yeah guys.
Don’t forget the Nitro Big Air Session next weekend in Tandådalen. One rider will get a wildcard for Oxborn Session!
